Peloponnese

Peloponnese/ Olympia & Epidaurus: 55 minutes-1 hour 25 minutes to Olympia (Helicopter), 25-30 minutes to Epidaurus (Helicopter)

Daily trip by helicopter to the most important ancient sites in the Peloponnese. You will visit Olympia and Epidavros. You will fly from Athens to Olympia, then on to Epidavros and returning to Athens in the early evening.

Visit the archaeological site at Olympia: wander around the temples, stadium, heron and other ruins, recalling the great events that took place nearly 3,000 years ago. This fascinating site is flat with lots of shady resting places.

Visit the Museum: like the museum at Delphi, this is small and quite superb. It houses all the sculptures discovered in the region along with smaller votive offerings.

Visit Epidaurus: this contains the most magnificent ancient Greek theatre in the world, where we will experience its unique acoustics while sampling some Greek poetry!

There is a small museum too if you have the energy. Tip: On your way back to Athens see ancient Corinth & the Corinth Canal from your helicopter.
